"Salary" if fine if it works both ways - can even be brilliant.

You're paid x-amount to do a job/fill a position - the hours, responsibilities and requirements should be known by both parties.

It's when the job creep comes in that it starts working only one way - the "reasonable overtime" becomes the expected hours of work, the positions that are vacated become your responsibility too, work finished for the day and "oh - can you give us a hand with this then" instead of clocking off becomes the norm.

That's the start of your trouble right there k13th.

Would never trust an employee who didn't drink coffee :P

edit: coffee drinker and not a Collingwood supporter is basically the only job requirements that a prospect needs to fulfil for me :P

Should be writing down all your overtime hours Keith. When your performance review comes around show them said hours and ask for either time in lieu(going forward not for what's already been done), a pay rise or come to some sort of other agreement. You seem happy with where you are apart from this particular problem. No need to let it burn you out and turn postal.

Don't worry, I've written down and logged timesheets for every single hour extra I've worked. That's how I got the calculations lol

I'll see how it goes with the performance review. You're right... I am happy with the job, aside from the money.

I don't care if I work tons of hours... it's all for a benefit.
