I generally take about 10 readings anyway.. But yeah I was aware of the reflective surfaces.. just checking there wasn't some other numpty thing I could of been doing to skew the readings.. We were trying to use them to get a spray temp for bitumen (ie: temperature of the liquid leaving the spray truck before contacting the ground).. I was having no luck with that so I just went back to filling a tin with spray and then dropping a pencil thermometer in..I only use it for:AsphaltBTBBitumen Sealingvarious objects in or near the car when I'm bored..
