9 years in jail.. can't return to australia for another 3.. So 12 years..

say she got 2.5million for her story..

$208k per year before tax and proceeds of crime gets involved (If proceeds of crime gets involved).

You know what.. I'm not that far off to enjoy comfortably sleeping in my own bed each night and sharing it with only 1 other person..

Am sure the union fees you don't pay are better spend on cookies for you instead of hookers for them :P

I was in a union once..

Lied about my income for a while to keep the fees down..

Then I left the government and decided better than throwing money down the toilet..

Not a massive fan of the media hype up on this. Regardless of innocence or guilt. Regardless of any monies comming her way. She did it hard and is still not home and completely free.

I wouldn't want to through that for ten times the money.

Curious how they can give a bad reading?

Mine has a laser pointer which tells where the apparent reading is coming from and a required distance range for operation.. I wanna make sure I'm not giving bad readings because when we are talking about asphalt temps alot could bite me in the arse if it's being placed at the wrong temp..

Asphalt is one of the easiest, we all know how black goes for anything to do with heat.

Cheers

Basically anything reflective can give a false reading. Plus keep an eye on the distance to spot cone that is normally on the side of them. General rule of thumb is within a metre and perpendicular to the target.

Emissivity of asphalt is about as good as you can get, basically the opposite of polished metal.

My rule of thumb is to hold it pointing directly down beside me and aim it at the surface.. I generally take about 10 readings anyway.. But yeah I was aware of the reflective surfaces.. just checking there wasn't some other numpty thing I could of been doing to skew the readings..

We were trying to use them to get a spray temp for bitumen (ie: temperature of the liquid leaving the spray truck before contacting the ground).. I was having no luck with that so I just went back to filling a tin with spray and then dropping a pencil thermometer in..

I only use it for:
Asphalt

BTB

Bitumen Sealing

various objects in or near the car when I'm bored..
