Haha feel like sh*t though mate..Would actually be using sick leave when sick.. It's almost unaustralian..

If you magically work somewhere where they pay you your sick leave when you leave, sure, go to work.

But everywhere I've worked in my life, when I've resigned, I've lost all of my accrued sick leave.... So if the dr tells me to stay at home. I do as I'm told.

Mine resets each year.

Some I know it accumulates - others get a bonus for unused sickies.

Others (subbies etc) don't get any - no work, no pay.

Yeah.. Mine accumulates.. And in a family friendly move ours was increased for the exact same reason I am off sick..

We get 15 days per year, with no payout or bonus for unused leave.. I've still managed to accrue a fair bit.. Definitely don't think I'll be turning up this week at all..
