Well I bought my computer parts today. I took a list of what I wanted to Centrecom along with comparable prices from CPL / MSY. I had a chat for about 90 minutes with their senior sales rep and managed to squeeze them on whatever they were retailing for more money (which was good as a few items they had for cheaper than MSY).

I core 5 4670

Gigabyte H87M motherboard

Kingston 8GB RAM

Samsung 840 EVO 120g SSD

Seagate 1TB 7200rpm HDD

nVidia Geforce GTX 760 (some splinter cell version of it)

Corsair HX650W PSU

Thermaltake Chaser A41 mid tower

Lite On DVD burner (was $20 lol)

Originally I was going to go with the K version of the CPU I bought, but they convinced me not to bother as I would have had to buy a more expensive motherboard to be able to overclock it down the road.

The fun will begin when I find the time to sit down and assemble. I've read a few articles that say to buy some sort of anti static wrist band to avoid frying the CPU(it earths you out to the tower). Do you guys use these?

I never used one, but if you're going to be assembling it in a high static environment, it's worth getting one.

I've never worked with an anti static strap, there mainly for working with monitors. Unless your working on carpet then yeah, get one. Also not good to use magnetic screw drivers
