Highton. Fukkin hills here everywhere. Finishing the house today so will post pics of the house and view..huge roof.

And probably a day off tomorrow before starting work with metricon tomorrow...we will probably overkill the house just building it how we normally do lol. They are dodgey as fck..

Oh and in the new area here. Armstrong Creek. Simonds houses have already moved 100mm apparently LOL. Soil testers under estimated it and crack in bricks already. Houses only been up, say less than 6months..hahah

Hearing of that happening all through Doreen too. Too many waffle pods, not done right from the start. We're lucky we work for decent builders.

I honestly can see why some choose $10/hour duras straight off the boat over traditional tradesmen. There all as dodgy as each other.

Happening in alot of places.. Mainly because all the subgrade is saturated given the amount of rain the whole countries been averaging over the past 2-3 years..

Tbh I'm not sure freeze. But I'd say simonds will be in sh*t lol. But as henz said..they are tight kunts and think they do the sane quality as someone more expensive. They charge that much for a reason!

But will drive one of the days we're working there and have a scout around for the houses that have moved lol.

Finished for the day and tomorrow day off. Told the boss I was giving my notice..he said what twice, not sure if he was expecting it :/ lol. But was alright with it, he said going to the mines was what I always wanted to do. Poohin my pants all day about it..never done it lol.

Pics..

The view. And the houses that will cop all the rain in winter loll

The driveway was originally on the other side of the house..but it'd be way too steep..

And the ridiculous bracing for the roof. Should be able to see the hinges for the roof because its so damn big. About ⅓ down from the peak..

And that wall in the foreground..about 1.6m high haha..

SDP at the moment the grounds as wet as its going to get. All the waters running off now.

All the engineering requirements are reflecting it now. Engineers aren't hesitating to double up L12 and 92 through everything. Put 108 piers in a 150sqm job last week.

Problem with waffle pods shy is sh*tty prep can create a 60-70mm thick slab. And I see that all the time. Did one last week and the plumber had undermined it, so he had to foot the bill for 20 piers. He was from SA so that would be 50% to blame.
