Check out the justcar PDS. Every insurer is different. For example they may chase it further if he had full comp.

It sounds about right though. With a lot of insurers if you don't have full cover there is a small amount that still can be claimed and paid out (in this case 3k) if an uninsured driver hits you. The police will probably fine her for no insurance too.

He'll probably have to take it to a lawyer, and get them to chase the money. I nearly had to do the same thing a few years ago when my last car was hit, and the guy refused to put in a claim.

that's the danger of having third party only though.

Exact same thing happened to me in my previous car. Just 3rd party I had and a pensioner old kunt looking at the ring road roadworks down here and hit me. Tried to use to sympathy sh*t that he doesn't work and no money..yet lived in ocean grove..go fck yourself. Wrote the car off and AAMI paid out $3k (minus tow fees from my house). Just fortunate it was a VS commonwhore and only paid $1500 for it LOL. Profit. Win!

But I agree with Adie..will have to go to court I'd say and tbh..she could get away with paying $1 a week afaik. Old man told me that when I had the accident and IF it was a more expensive car and gone to court.

Not sure about the cops fining her for no insurance? Didn't know it was illegal down here? Do know in NSW every car has insurance..can't get rego without it.

Compulsory third party only covers personal injury of the third (innocent) party and damage to public property I believe...so if you're on the receiving end of some imbecile without comprehensive insurance all you can recover is medical/funeral expenses.

In Qld & NSW it's mandatory to have a separate CTP policy, all the other states just build it in to their rego fees.

Stayed at a pimpin pad last night overlooking the beach near yepoon, 5 bathrooms and an indoor pool. Massive 3 story joint shared by 4 people working in the mines. I do miss the coin :(

In the territory of a fellow panda, toowoomba is cold and the chicks are all rugged up, luckily I'll be back in airlie in a few nights.

Yep what tab said.

Its BS down here that its not compulsory..as you say paulie too many fwits. Far too many. Just no respect for other innocent motorists who have worked damn hard for their cars. And some Norton could wipe it out and pretty much get away with it, that's how I view it.

Good luck to your mate anyway kv..feel sorry for him, know what it feels like >.<

Damn..that mansion of a house sounds awesome lol. 5 farkin bathrooms! Haha
