They fixing you're car Adie or you getting paid out?

Still havent heard.

Time to make another phone call I guess. This is beyond a joke.

EDIT: Just spoke to the panel beater. they still havent heard back from the insurance company as to whether they have the ok to fix it.

I dont understand why this is taking so long.

Borderline cases between write off and repair probably get referred up the chain of management cause no one wants to make that call.. Or the insurance company might wanna verify what the panel beater said and are waiting on an assessor to be at the area (took me 2 weeks with Aami once)

Insurance companies - cancel your policy if payment 1 day late..

Takes 3 months to make an assesment and an extra 6 months to payout a customer

I was happy with my insurance company, as they've okayed the repair to the front already, and back when my insurance expired I had 90 days credit terms with them, so I didnt have to pay it straight away.

helped me through a tough time. When I had the accident I paid my insurance, then made the claim. No dramas.

Spoke to my broker just now - she suggested I get the claim for the rear sent to her, and let my insurance company chase the other insurance company.

And here I was thinking it was gonig to be easy when I got a call from the insurance company a day after the accident, asking me to send a quote through.

Insurance is never easy..

They love to take your money.. But not always give it back.

When I got rear ended once I fought for ages as the underside of the boot (where the spare goes) was completely farked and the repairer patched it with sikaflex. Used to get a heap of water in there.
