Depends on the month and time of year... Targets are adjusted usually for busier times etc....

Just coz there is no incentive on advertisement there still may be one... As I said its not an exposed fact...

If there are too many g6ets at the factory they may put an incentive out.... So u never know... But in my time g6et was the least popular or incentived vehicle...

My targets were anywhere from 14-25 depending on the months....

Usually there is a minimum the sales man will get if the vehicle doesn't make profit... Eg $50... Then another $50 if u took finance...

Also sometimes a number is more valuable than the profit ....

Ford do zoning... So there can only be 1 yard per 10km (not sure of accurate distance) radius that supplies new ford vehicles....

If a yard doesn't sell enough and there is someone who also wants to sell new ford in the area they are at risk of losing their "ford licence"

This has nothin to do with profit just numbers for ford.... Ford doesn't care if the yard makes profit they only care about numbers...

Also if the yard is part of a bigger chain they may receive kick backs for hitting numbers best in state etx...

So 1 deal that looses $500 may make them $10k in bonuses coz they hit 100 sales for the month

Also to answer the latter half ... All sales people get different incentives... As a boss u have to customise it to what works best for them and u to drive a better result out of them... If someone works well with as much incentive they will give a higher retainer an a standar com structure if not a small retainer and a larger com structure....

All systems are different... There is a generic ford one and then adtrans/ap eagers (who I used to work for) had a separate one... This allowed u to see what vehicles other yards accross aus has in stock ... What was on order or u... What ford was sending u with out a choice and also what was on the production line...

All ford stuff is in code so unless u knew what u were looking at u had no idea lol...

Also it should have looked like the old days... Black screen with green writing like all square from the 1990's

That's the ford system which has the true costs etc...

Other yards also run off they're own systems so it could have been something different aswrll...

Stamp duty is calculated on the price of the entire vehicle ... So accessories dealer delivery etc... Excluding Rego blah blah...but evey state is different... your contract should break it down for u....

If u ever get charged a dealer delivery fee on a used vehicle it's a bullsh*t charge and they don't have to charge u it!!!!!

It's made up for used vehicles and all they're recondition work should be already included when they priced up the vehicle....

If you've ever paid dealer delivery on a used car uve been raped!

knowledge is power especially with car yards,,,,,

I got jets car from sydney... all phone dealings....

paid 12k under sticker price.... got their finance ... cancelled it after 2 days... coz they dont charge u fees before 30 days, but the yard got a kick back so cut the price of the car further,,,,,

When I got there I made the sales man write me a check for $300 coz there was a tiny scratch he didnt disclose to me.... tole him id fly back to adelaide or he can write me a check... he wrote me the check lol....

lol

very passionate about this subject hahahah as u may be able to tell lol

Cool. I think I might have seen the program for looking at stock across the country and on the production line. I couldn't make sense of it but it was the same at multiple dealers and they were all looking to see what was available.

I got told at every dealer that G6ET are only made to order. They will mass product XT, XR6, G6 and a smaller number of G6E and XR6T. They don't sell enough to justify having any in warehouses. As I wanted Cashmere Leather it had to be ordered as most dealers that order a demo go for the black leather as its more popular, very few get demo with cashmere.

At the beginning I was also told by two dealers they would have to order an XR6T if I wanted Lux Pack, Alloy Spare and Heavy Duty tow pack for example as that's not a common config that sells so no one orders any in advance.

I figured there would still be some sort of commission an whatever regardless of the price otherwise there'd be no inventive to go past the last target.

I hate the after sale saleswoman. You say no so many times and they keep going. I got told all sorts of stuff like after market tint is deadly if it's less than 35% and no tint will give me skin cancer, polishing and waxing is heavily abrasive (hence why I should get paint protection) and I should get underbody rust protection if keeping the car long term. Drives you insane.

Well mine says car price + accessories ($50,9xx) + stamp duty on that amount + Rego, CTP , Dealer Delivery, plates, etc.

Dealer Delivery on the contract was $1,6xx, can't remember exact amount. Total was $53,500 which I thought was pretty good. Nothing like your 12K off though, lol. Was that a second hand one?

Contracts in the car ATM and I'm in the house and too lazy to go check, lol
