As for causing an issue, generally there would be no interference but the possibilty is there and the main point to worry bout is landing and takeoff if they had to abort and land again. The aerials used for landing are much more sensitive to interference.

The approach is made automatically using a radar which hates interference. So if this radar is farked the plane will overshoot or crash unless the pilot takes control. With the twin props the pilot is relying on the instruments to land manually. Not sure if phones would interfere there but they prob don't want to take the chance. A few of the strips I land on don't even have lights, the dirt ones are the most fun.
