Why do people these days lack the ability or common courtesy of returning phone calls?

Amazing in busines today that you cannot even return a customers phone call, even when they are eager to spend their money with you. :o

Had a solicitor on the phone yesterday arvo, acting on behalf of a vendor who is selling 3 little shops on a single title, (I'm acting on behalf of the buyer.) This Commercial contract forms 19 pages, all of which must be initialled, a couple must be signed. I got the "returned" call from him as I wanted to know what information he'd transmitted to the buyers solicitor as "Special condition 1" was that the vendor must relay to the buyer the lease details of one of the shops within 7 days from contract date, which hadn't been complied with.

This solicitor said that he's not doind any work on it as he's not acknowlidging any contract as such, because THE OTHER AGENT INVOLVED TRICKED THE SELLER INTO SIGNING THE CONTRACT BUY SUGGESTING THAT IT (the 19 pages) WERE ONLY TO LOCK AWAY THE PRICES n CONDITIONS. What's it take to become a solicitor nowadays, I can see a Judge tearing him a new one for burying his head in the sand.
