Had one guy try to convince me how nice eggplant was by cooking it up for me one day.. He put about 250g butter into a fry pan.. Then after it melted throws in 2 slices of eggplant.. Cooks it briefly.. Pulls it out and offers it to me.. All I could see or taste was butter.. Lots of butter..

You guys are missing out, if it's salted or soaked in milk first it's fckn brilliant.

...having said that though it's certainly no substitute for a slab of dead smoked animal.

Customer has heart attack at Heart Attack restaurant

February 16, 2012 - 9:00AM

A man has had a heart attack ... while eating at the Heart Attack Grill in Las Vegas.

The man, in his 40s, was eating the 6000-calorie Triple Bypass Burger at the restaurant on Saturday when he started sweating, shaking and could barely talk, owner Jon Basso said.

"It was no joke," said Jon Basso, who calls himself "Doctor Jon", with his scantily-clad waitresses as nurses and customers as patients.

He said this was the first time - despite the name of the restaurant - that a customer had had a heart attack there.

"One of the nurses came back to me and said, 'Dr. Jon, we've got a patient who's in trouble'," he told the FOX5 television station.

The man was taken to hospital by paramedics, but his condition was not disclosed, the Associated Press reported.

Mr Basso said he felt "horrible" for the man, as tourists snapped photos of him while he was wheeled out of the restaurant on a stretcher.

"Even with our own morbid sense of humour, we would never pull a stunt like that," he said.

At the restaurant, eaters are given surgical gowns as they choose from a calorically extravagant menu offering "Bypass" burgers, "Flatliner" fries, buttermilk shakes and free meals to folks over 159 kilograms.

In March 2011, 260.8-kilogram, two-metre-tall Blair River, 29, who became well-known as the spokesman for the restaurant, died, possibly from contracting pneumonia after a bout of flu.
