Looking good Nick...at least the poor bastards might finish at the good end of the ladder for a change. That'd be a whole new feeling.

What a palaver to change a licence and rego to Qld. WTF

It will end up costing me sh*tloads. Never mind the farkin rust buckets that troll the

roads year on year, unpunished.

My immaculately maintained Phoon is not roadworthycrybaby.gif

All said all done new diff bushes required.

And the saga continues.

After hunting down the plethora of IDs and papers required , filling in me forms including new roadworthy certificate, the Buf

heads into the Dept of Main Roads with his folder and NSW plates in hand, all good he thinks bbbbbbbzzzzzttt WRONG

Young lass goes through everything , mmmm sorry but we cannot process this as you have a suspension against you here in Qld . WTF.

You will have to take it up with the SER ( State Recovery thingee), until then we cannot allow you to drive as you are technically unlicenced in this state. Bare in mind I have not held a QLD licence since 1995 and have held a Vic licence and still retained to this point my NSW licenceblink.gif

So after nearly an hour on hold I find out that I had committed a speeding offence on Sir Samuel Griffith drive in May 1998.It was possible that I was up here on holidays and got pinged by a camera ( did they have them then?)as I certainly wasn't pulled over.84ks in a 50 zone so they say.Either way no ticket ever sighted.

I was told that the DMR were in fact correct and no Qld Licence would be issued until I paid the fine and it was cleared from the system and that if I continued driving on my NSW I could be fined for not changing my details within 14 days.

So $238 later I go rejoin the end of the que all sorted,go whack on my spiffy stock QLD plates that cost me $2500 bucks

and a mountain of frustration and ride off into the sunsetcrybaby.gif

At least I have my 3 points back from over 12 years ago, or so I'm toldomg1.gif

:turboboink:

Definitely no speed cameras up here back then, and I seriously doubt that was the speed limit either as that was only dropped in the last few (I.e. five maybe) years I think.

Either way it's still hilarious. Welcome to Qld. :buttrock:
