That may be fine if you're flying to anywhere but the US....Do that on the way to Los Angeles, and you'll probably have a couple of F14's escort you in, the pilots with itchy trigger fingers, and when you land, you'll be escorted of to the unknown as a suspected terrorist, tortured, abused, threatened, and then when the US decide to release you, they will deny all knowledge.
