@Puffwagon I have a new garrett gen 1 and gen 2 gtx3582r supercores in my shed, which one should I put on for running 98 octane only. Thought id shoot for 420-430 rwkw. Need to keep rods in motor, so kinda thinking gen2 could be better bet because it will spool a bit later with its 66mm fan.

My recommendation is to not put a larger turbo on it until you have the boost control in the tune working as it should. I don't wanna be the guy to tell you to use a bigger turbo with your current boost control then you come back a week later and tell us it made 30psi in the mid on 98 and blew up.

@Puffwagon my current boost control is hose from comp outlet to wastegate, with a gfb turbofuse as safety pop off valve. Boosts perfectly as is. If I put on gen 2 gtx for arguments sake with bleed valve or harder wastegate springs to boost to 20psi (currently got 19psi springs and boosting 16psi, gate must be getting pushed open a little by exhaust gasses.) And set up the turbo fuse for 21-22psi I reckon it should be safe, what do you think? Also would it be better to leave my current 19psi springs in gate and run a bleed valve tap to get more boost or increase springs pressure in gate. Or does it not make much difference either way? Ofcouse I will get it tuned. Do you start with low timing numbers and slowly increase them when tuning while checking for detonation? What should max timing numbers be under boost?

If you wanna do it then go for it, my advice isn't going to change.

That ain't no good man. Was like that here a couple of weeks ago and blew some of the fence down. Haha I learnt my lesson about the outdoor stuff years ago, so I flipped the trampoline upsidedown so it couldn't take off.

Being a parent I teach my kids things. One of those things was to never trust a fart. Being kids, sometimes they don't listen or forget things. Daughter comes up and tells me the son hath sh*te his britches. His reasoning was that he thought it was a fart. Talk about learning the hard way :roflmbo:
