Well that was a strange one - Subaru wouldn't go on the ramps - applied its brakes, cut its throttle and flashed 'Obstacle Detected' on the dash. Solution was to take a run up.

Definitely! Got to see whether I can turn the lane departure warning off too and just put it back on for long distance driving. Is super annoying on windy roads or going around parked cars.

I hate lane departure warning ... it's such an intrusive system for something that would only be useful (debatable) in super-rare scenario's.

morning all, happy Thursday 🤌

Haha yep, and every time you open a muesli bar on a trip, the kids think they are going to die.

Even worse are the ones that actually take over and try to correct you back into the lane. Some of the reviews of the Kia and Hyundai systems in particular make it sound like bumper bowling.

I love it. can have a sneaky nose pick and it stays dead in the centre... but after 10 secs wont let me get away with it any longer and tells me to hold the wheel again

You guys with your gadgets. Today my kid asked me if my car had a clock and I told him no it doesn't. Haha the closest thing I have to lane departure warning is when is starts to aquaplane. :yikes:

Lane departure is a real stupid feature, I hate it, the only time it might be handy is if you're falling asleep. But if you're trying to drive around a cyclist and go to the centre line it wants to get you to kill the poor biker lol.
