long night... 98mm turbo with nitrous will just add more oxygen to the combustion chamber, it won't help a heavy impeller as much as direct CO2 injection, but of course the nitrous will give you plenty more power if you need it with such a big turbo haha. The CO2 boost controller will push the turbine to get started and allow the first exhaust gases reaching it to do more work to begin the spool up.

morning all, happy Thursday 🍨

CO2... carbon dioxide... you can use that sort of spray to do the initial spool up of the turbo and then of course once it's going it can self-sustain the boosting. :) I know of a guy who had a pro-mod 108mm on his XR6T and he used carbon dioxide spray to spool it up early enough to get his huge turbo going great guns :)

Ehhhhhh ?

We use Co2 to control the Gate pressure on top of base spring and Nitrous to bring the turbo up on converter with the ute. We can only make about 2psi against the converter with pure stall but with Nitrous we can see 7psi in like a 1-1.5 seconds against the trans brake which is moving the 1900HP 88mm XPR turbo fast and that’s the limit we’ve set, could easy go mid teens with extended time

Co2 is a dead gas, it’s $10 to fill the bottle, it’s used as a pressure source only, Nitrous is $200 to fill and uses it’s immense energy to move gas flow fast to spool the turbo
