I had a clock on the wall and when it broke it got replaced with a barometer.

I don't know what the time it is but the weather is fair :declare:

clocks are over-rated... especially wall-ones... they often don't keep time accurately and batteries don't last nearly as long as you'd hope and then on top of that they make a monotonous clicking sound that permeates an otherwise nice quiet room... I only have the one clock and that's on my phone haha (even stopped wearing a watch a few years ago, for other reasons mostly).

In other news, took my car out to last night for the first time since putting the new brakes in and lowering it. :) good fun late night driving.

Question about gaskets, why are there usually no gaskets for the exhaust manifold and turbo?

I bought some and have fitted them to the rig because my belief is having a gasket is better than no gasket.... I have no justification for this though 🤣

What's everyone's thoughts on them? Do you use one? Do you not? Why? Why not?

Curious to know :)

Also, I'd much rather have a barometer than a clock on the wall tbh, plenty sh*t around the house to tell me the time already

well, if it's sealing and the surface is properly machined to seal, no stress with leaks there, that's probably why... or they thought "nobody would want to change out that gasket regularly, so let's just make the effort to make it seal properly" lol
