Posted 30/08/09 02:13 AM Share Posted 30/08/09 02:13 AM Stanthorpe has its own dam when I moved here 2 years ago it was within 1 month of being empty. It has been full ever since but it is to small for the local farmers to use. They were going to biuld a second dam but the goverment wanted the farmers in the area to pay for it aswell as paying for there own dams and might I had also pay for the water they use from there own dams and the new one.The farmers told the goverment to stick it.The goverment wants to biuld the dams and take credit for them but does not want to foot the bill for them to be built.Ian
