Posted 24/03/05 01:03 PM Share Posted 24/03/05 01:03 PM I watched"The Gods must be crazy" with Joshua and Tahlia again tonight. They laughed themselves silly, before trying to redeem themselves with some 'intelligent' conversation and questions. The thought of tribal people never seeing items that we take for granted in our everyday life was just fascinating and hilarious to them.Just as I thought the lunacy for the night had ended, Tahlia asks me, "Dad, imagine if you walked up to one of those clickety black men and gave them a PICNIC chocolate (Tahlia's favourite)...what would they do?""Well Tahlia", I replied, "they would never have seen plastic wrapping, so they wouldn't know that it was food unless you took the plastic off the chocolate and opened it for them""And then what?" she asked.I was too tired by this stage, and slowly walked away into the kitchen.I didn't get that far before Joshua answered her question, saying, "maybe they would think you're bringing them some brown chicken".lol...ahh kids - gotta love 'em!Makes you wonder though, what everyday items would absolutely trip out non-civilized tribal people? It was quite interesting, the Yanks found it pretty tough going at first having to do without all the comforts of home but in the end they enjoyed themselves immensly and plan to go back and visit again. It will ask you for the URL of the image you want to show. You will need to have it hosted somewhere I think (can't do it for images located on your C drive, for example).
