I think we're gonna move back in with my parents for 6mo. We are likely gonna change our wedding plans. Make it very small. Our wedding so far has 30 guests at the ceremony, its a small "elopement" package thing we are doing. Just a hair over $16k deep so far. We can get 95% of that back and still get married. Had very long talks with her parents about this too, who are in full support of this which is a big relief. They never wanted us to spend this kinda money on a wedding in the first place. They want us to get a house 🤣 Its just an all-round shat situation. Living expenses atm are pretty high, renting is expensive, mortgages are expensive. But we want a house we can call a forever home, and not have this exact situation happen to us again.
