I bought one of those transmissions for $50 on gumtree cos the torque converter failed. There was metal in the trans but it wasn't farked by any means. Engine and trans will cost an arm and a leg to replace compared to petrol versions, you can verify on eBay etc. You can tune them but haven't done it myself. I think they can make 170wkw but dunno the torque figure.
