Has anyone got any recomendations for keeping raw/flat plate aluminium toolboxes clean?

I got a primo canopy tool box put on the work Hilux and its starting to get a light build of scale or oxide on it.

I dont want to be polishing it shiny but would like to keep it looking schmick.

surely a bunch of clear-coat coatings would do the job... but @bloodycrashboy could surely give you some real advice :)

Maybe bcb has an idea.

I'm just giving it a light degrease and rinse when I wash the thing.

for about 5min then it'll go hazy due to the oxidation sites that the acid cleaner leaves.

Plenty of acid cleaners out there for aluminium. Don't really keep it shiny, but give it a nice finish
It's a $12k tray and canopy. I'm definitely not going to try any acid cleaner on it.

Although it does work well if you get every square cm, it really looks horrid if you don't get it perfectly even.
