It's very flat here so sound travels for miles. Thankfully it was planned for the other side of a small hill so it should be fine. Also it's power on demand so won't run 24/7. It can stop iirc. It's not an instant on/off thing though. It has been a while since I read it but it can start and stop very quickly as far as power stations go, and is designed to support the summer months. I'll find out more info in the morning, when I can use my desktop. We have planned, cyclical blackouts here (we got lucky last year) and this is supposed to help with that. We can't have hundreds or thousands of houses losing power on 40 plus degree days.
