Spent the morning trying to convince my old man to sell his Colorado and get a GS315 ute.
Got close, then "wheres the dog gonna go?"

Just gotta sus out a "nicer" way of leaving the dog in the tray and he might just do it.

Actually not fact. They CAN do the most damage, but they're also responsible for ensuring everyone else that they're responsible for pulls their weight - this in itself is no easy task. Just because they don't do the same work as you (which is apparently the only thing you consider to be "actual" work) doesn't mean they're not actually working. They get paid more because they have greater responsibility and greater accountability. Obviously I can't speak for everyone, but in my experience they're generally the people who work longer hours and do a hell of a lot more than you give them credit for.

Unless you've actually done their role for some time, how would you even know what they actually do on a day-to-day basis, and what their job is like? How are you qualified to make that kind of assessment when you're only viewing it from your own personal experience of a role you haven't done?

"for ensuring everyone else that they're responsible for pulls their weight"

Maybe in your industry but most places I've worked, most are more worried about building their little "kingdom's", hence why we have so many Team Leaders that actually do 90% of what the Mangler's do.

Who do you think does their job when they go on leave?  I've covered for many Managers over the years, I'm the one they go to when they need to know how something works/how to solve a problem or who they need to speak to and what to say to solve a situation.

Am off to pressure clean out the insides of my beer kegs.

Will be off the carbs after the new year, so no beer for me for a while.

Luckily I don't mind soda or tonic water so will have heaps of that on tap for the bourbon and scotch ;)

Nothing better than home brewed soda water :S

punny business names :haha:

Registered a fair few knock shops back in the day when you had to attend the Consumer Affairs office in person to register a business name.

Was always fun to send mum over to do them for me :D

Another funny one she copped was something like Melbourne Swingers Sex Parties or something similar - she would have been in her late 60's at the time.

(I didn't save those ones for her - had my own fair share I registered)
