Horn fight tonight was actually decent

Hope his next fight is against a real contender - would be good to have him as an actual legit world champ

Couple of good undercards - Murdock looked like someone we'll see again, Cheeky was great.

Horn is definitely a 12 round fighter - doubt he'll win against real competition though :(

Kid goes alright hey, definitely a mongrel.

Hopefully the next fight is vs a top 3 contender in Vegas.

Could not handle another good fighter from OZ taking on Thailand taxi drivers for 7yrs and thinking they are the best ever.

A few of the Commondore pages are going on about some of these mobile test units specifically targeting modified vehicles and trucks.

It could be the usual tinfoil hat brigade jumping to conclusions though.  Except the second bold underlined bit makes me wonder if some bright spark intends to blitz vehicles just to make it look like they actually do something all day, so they don't get the axe as part of the government's cost cutting exercises.

Car emissions put to the test with CleanRun

Tuesday, 14 November 2017

  • Roadside monitoring device scheduled for set up during November and December

Perth motorists driving through St James on November 14 and 15, 2017 will have an opportunity to test their vehicle emissions as part of the State Government's CleanRun program.

A monitoring device will be present at Hill View Terrace in St James from 7am to 2pm on both days, enabling drivers to get their vehicle emissions tested and rated via a Remote Sensing Device (RSD).

The RSD measures carbon monoxide, hydrocarbons, nitric oxide and smoke from cars as they pass, providing instant feedback to drivers via a smart sign displaying a simple message - 'Good', 'Fair' or 'Poor'.

Up to 18,000 cars are set to be tested through CleanRun during November and December, 2017.

The program will also run from 7am to 2pm at Weaponess Road, Wembley Downs on November 21-22; Spearwood Avenue, Spearwood on November 28-29; Illawarra Crescent South, Ballajura on December 5-6; Lesmurdie Road, Lesmurdie on December 12-13; and Prindiville Drive, Wangara on December 19-20.

Results of the monitoring will be used to inform the development of programs aimed at reducing vehicle emissions in Western Australia.  For more information, click here.

Comments attributed to Environment Minister Stephen Dawson:

"The presence of the CleanRun RSD on suburban Perth roadsides will provide drivers with valuable information about vehicle emissions.

"Vehicles with a poor emissions reading are not running as well as they should be and are therefore contributing more than their fair share of pollution to the air we breathe.

"Good vehicle maintenance and safe driver behaviour makes a big difference to how a car performs, the amount of fuel it uses and its emissions.

"It's important that we are always looking at ways to monitor and reduce the impact of motor vehicle emissions on WA's air quality."
