I've hit a rough patch with cars lately and they're going to kill me

the shifter linkage broke on the g6 but managed to cable tie it back on

and I'm still waiting on my new turbo to arrive

I really hope the turbine housing is ok as the compressor housing has a decent chunk out of it

You'll get there Matty. Sometime cars just go through an "everything is broken" period. Fix em up and you should be gold.

I just looked at some video of my car that the missus took today. It's quite quick compared to most of the rest of the cars that were there today...well in a straight line at least.

Sounds like fun Nath

dont worry the FPV drive days at Mallala were an embarrassment for FPV as brand new F6’s and GT’s were smoking brakes by the second lap and had to always give a full lap to cool down so that’s brand new 4 pot brembos and OS rears that couldn’t keep up so yours have done well to get x4 laps in on XR spec brakes and undoubtedly heaps more power

It was cool man.

I logged the second session and it did what it should have. I'll put the log on dropbox if you're interested.

I'll also cut a clip out of the missus video (eventually) so yas can see how it went down the front straight. I think I was getting it up to 160 or 170 before the first turn.

Yep. Brakes.

Had a similar problem on the S.A cruise.

Always said to my mate I was keen to take Old Black Betty to the track.

All he said was realistically the OEM brakes are gonna boil and fade in a matter of laps.

I was all like pffffft.

Till the cruise when the lads could hear my tyres protesting and that smell brake of pads.

Box stock T convinced.:wwww:

If your brakes aren't fading you're not driving hard enough ;)

The one that got me was the wet day I did at Sandown - as in torrential rain.

There were still people having to cool them down.

Mine are fingered now as in partially sticking on, 4 pumps to get a pedal, creaking like an old rusty man brakes. I'll have a look at the damage tomorrow and fix them up during the week.

Edit: I just checked them and they pumped up on the second pump. Must have just been hot before.
