I enjoy overtaking the police cars (on dual lane roads) that everyone else is afraid to.  They usually sit 5 under the limit.

However I never turn to look at them while driving as that would be taking my attention away from the road and inviting a stoppage hahaha.  I also don't drive with one arm locked straight on top of the wheel and my seat reclined to 45°.  I actually rarely look at other drivers anyway unless they are coming the other way or they have a sweet ride and I'm giving them a beep and thumbs up!

Heading up to the uncles place on Sunday, was just heading past Canning bridge where it's 3 lanes and a Police wagon entered the freeway and every one behind him went from 95 down to 85 ffs.

So I pulled into the far left when he went into the centre lane, overtook and pulled back into the far right giving two other drivers a WTF look for doing under the limit in the overtaking lane.

Perth drivers as such morons most times and doubly so went it comes to driving and the road rules.

Also had a relatively good run going down to Mandurah and up to the uncles place.

Just about everyone pulled into the left when they saw me coming up, I had a chuckle thinking maybe they thought I was an unmarked, considering how quick I was going compared to all the morons not even doing the limit.

Here's a tip, try a few GPS units and work out how close your speedo is to the actual speed, then match the number in the red circle with the number on your speedo. :rant2:

GPS speeds can be wildly innacurate ir your talking live speed.

Also falcon speedos are set to a factory 2kms per hour over the actual speed.
So if you're doing 90 youre actually doing 88. Infact a lot of manufacturers set the same limit.

I lived in Perth for a couple of years and I totally agree.

Trouble is, most of Australia is the same, morons everywhere.

I would have to disagree Fluf,  GPS units triangulate off satellites, and as long as you have a decent visible piece of sky above your car they are accurate to within about 0.2 klm per hour!

here is a quick read if you don't believe me

I didn't realise the Falcons were set like that.

When I first got the Falcon, it had 20's on. I was 2K's under the limit up to 90 and then slightly over above 90.

When I went back to 19's, I was dead on with 3 different GPS units at all speeds.

One of the guys at work has a VBOX which I would like to try one day just to see how accurate my speedo is.

with the 17's on my BA mkII XR6T it's approximately 3km/h out at 60km/h and is about 4km/h out above 80km/h.

Andy is spot-on with GPS accuracy, though. They're far more accurate than your speedometer on your car, especially for Ford vehicles :)

I'm in a win-win situation k31th, I get to tease everyone and they have to like it, as they need my help all the time :)

You know what they say about "if you find a job doing what you love to do, you will never work a day in your life" I'm in that situation :imsohappy:

People are asking why I have Youtube access, I just smile and say "Because I'm better than you" :)

I normally just tell them that my laptop is hooked up to my mobile phone.

They then try it and still get blocked. That is when I start to laugh and giggle and tell them it is my personal phone and not my work phone.

I then proceed to carry on watching from a distance and giggle some more like a little school girl.

Eventually I tell them that it is blocked for everyone except for one person. The administrator has access to all!!!!

:P
