They are tearing down the building behind us, the roof collapsed a little over a month ago but we only found out two weeks ago that it had an asbestos roof. I always thought when asbestos was found that they had to notify the surrounding building owners, tenant's etc. but we didn't find out until a staff member mentioned it being cordoned off to the local lunch bar owner. So we got someone in to do air quality checks and they gave it the all clear. Getting back to the whole building shaking, I'm keeping close to the fire exit, most of the staff don't realise this but we had to get some specific testing done when we first moved in, as we have heavy safes and they found most of the floor wouldn't support the KG to square meter required for them. Only two places in the building were within the limit, the rest is apparently safe but the way this place shakes - even relatively heavy people around 120KG make the floor shake - I just don't trust it. Apparently our new multi function copiers are close to the limit. Also half the building is over the underground carpark, I'm past that point so I don't give a damn if the floor collapses under everyone else, I'll just have to train up the new staff the way I like them

Small demo job if it was anything like the surrounding ones, bugger all internal structure so it would have to be quick.

Posted 06/12/16 05:45 AM Share Posted 06/12/16 05:45 AM For the pool owners out there, are they much of a PITA/extra cost? I've been steering clear of properties with pools so far but if the upkeep etc. isn't too bad, I might revisit that decision.
