Thanks for the reply @barnz Basically my thoughts were similar to yours looking at the video. It was a HPC into split S. Watching the video it looks like there is some sort of failure before it trys to pull up. I was more curious, I knew the guy (not well) but he was highly skilled and well decorated with combat time & medals. Offical report blamed pilot error and speed but I dont buy it.... Report also stated he "tried" to eject before hitting the ground. I mean its not like the u.s government would be covering up mechanical failure on a tiring f 18 fleet now would they.
