Yeah, I can imagine NS would be hard with a family Rob (I'm just assuming your name's Rob, going from your username haha). NS must throw your body clock something cruel! I reckon I'd struggle hard with that.

Yeah, something I've learnt from all the weddings I've been to - keep the reception somewhere close by and make sure everyone can start drinking as soon as the ceremony is over! And keep things somewhat laid back. I'm really not much a fan of the formal seating, drawn out speeches etc...just drags the night on. I guess it might be different for the couple involved, as I've heard from my friends that their wedding day just goes by really quickly...but I guess I'm fairly conscious of being on the other side of it.

See, John, that's where I think context is important, as peoples ability to be comfortable is relative. If they both earn significant salaries then an $800k mortgage could be comfortable. If they were only a combined income of $50k, then not so much lol.

Jet let me have free rain on a wedding... so I booked a court house date ...... we got married 3 months later and left immediately and went on an eastern states trip to pitlane to put the F6 on their dyno. Ahahah

We had the best time getting sh*t faced at all the pubs on the way... no fuss... didnt tell anyone until we got back.

Imo with weddings u either go hard or dont go at all... make it actually enjoyable for the guests... good food ... lots of booze etc or dont do it at all.

What sh*t me was these guys requested gifts... like u werent allowed to put money in a card... really? And theyre serving finger food only....

So I went to DJs and got them a present intentionally off the registry... mainly because if they want an expensive gift I am not paying for the utter crap they registered for like $150 miranda kerr vase... pffftttt

Fyi.. they only just moved out and arent even paying their own rent... I rekon theres some more impirtant sh*t than a vase

You would assume right there Dan? My name is Rob.

First nightshift is a c u next Tuesday! I do 2 days 2 nights. So from 7 tonight till 7 tomorrow I'm off. Which is good but I'm up for nearly 24 hours cause I like to be up during the day now instead of moon baking.

Deadset fluff who the fark are these ppl? Sounds like they both need a PITO!

Yeah, see I don't reckon I'd be able to do that! I struggle enough trying to get into a somewhat regular sleeping pattern, let alone with a pattern that changes every couple of days!

I agree Fluff! In that situation I'd much rather people just throw some money in a card and let me chose what I want with it, pool it all together and buy something more expensive for the house or something, that'd be my ideal!
