Not my cup of tea but each to there own. 70's look has come full circle just ask IKEA. Its the trend at the moment. We have just put timber flooring on the office walls of a car yard. Owner loves It. Brady bunch comes to mind. Some builders I have come across in my time in the building trade Australian building standards are non existent. So reach for the moon fluff, all power to ya and shake up establishment.

The game is going backwards every yr imo.

I got a bit of sh*t ... especially from jet.. about going into a trade without an aprenticeship style training... there are obviously several ways to get a builders licence depending on what state... I wanted to do school. But basically a monkey can do it .... Now if u go through tafe u actually have the learn the sh*t. Id hate to think of how many old skool builders are out there with basically 0 knowledge of the BCA or AS... The bug problem is all codes are aminimum stabdard and then also let up to interperatation.... which leaves room for wankers..However because building sites are all different ita hard to come up with a set of hard and fast rules for every standard. Its a shamozzle of a thing tbh.
