I lost friends and relationships. Over all, I'm not the same person as I was when I started in the mining and construction industry (comms fiber tech). The job I had was semi-stressful, sometimes I would get a call informing me I am flying out halfway through my week(s) off on a weekend to fix a fault on site but there was bonus pay in these situations that 'made it worthwhile'. But it's kinda good cos you can just stream Netflix or whatever at any time no worries.
