Nothing really technical, but makes sensesnore... "at best a handicap".. rightio mate... clearly a N/A fanboy These guys (Ferrari, et al), if they have enough influence, may actually get the idiots that do the emissions testing to actually load up a car and treat it in a "real world" scenario, which will royally screw both the companies who are pushing turbocharging (as we all know, in a "high load" environment, turbochargers spew out emissions) and the companies who are pushing N/A as neither approach will be able to meet the ever-stricter emissions standards that are pushed throughout the industry (except the most stoichometric tunes into thoroughly catalytic converted exhausts - which we know don't make power and are not that enjoyable to drive)

Why don't more people on here use turbo beanies??? A turbo blanket improves the performance of your turbo by keeping "the hot side hot." In keeping the exhaust gases within the turbocharger hot, turbocharger efficiency is improved. As you may not know, the hotter a gas is, the more expansive it is. Within a contained system of a specified size, the more expansive a gas is, the greater the pressure derived and thus, the greater the flow of gas to escape the containment. Therefore "promoting better flow". Would this also slightly help under bonnet temps too?

Makes it seem like it makes the turbo more efficient....which is a theme that most tuners seem to like I.e. making systems work betterPlus don't people do like ceramic coating of dump and exhaust manifold to therefore promote better flow? Edit: "Mod" got in first (above crap was directed at keif). What I was suggesting Az was to use a beanie as well as the heat shield....double bagging if you will LOL But sounds like it will just be overkill? Sound like a good buy if it's not f*cked? Wasn't planing on fitting it to my Ute just flogging it off.
