Don't get me wrong here Luke, but they are Hippocrates. They have drugs readily available on every corner and yet they do not shoot their own drug lords?

After all this time, they should no have been shot. I do not support drugs in any way or sort, but they should have had life in prison.

They have murders walking the streets after 5/10 years and were not shot? wtf?

What sort of justice system is that? I agree with Rab.

I agree with removing the ambassador from there. I think that the tourism will be dropping dramatically soon and they will feel the pain.

I will no longer be going to Bali on holidays.

"For far too long Australians have treated Bali and It's People like second class citizens. It is not an extension of our country and we have no right to treat it that way."

You mean by tourists visiting the country in droves and spending huge amounts of coin? Or maybe aid given for natural disasters and terrorist attacks?

No I mean Over Indulging to the point of pissing/vomitting in the streets/on religious significance. Would we accept one nationality of people coming to Australia getting full of piss/drugs and desecrating our churches? Probably not.

Don't confuse what's happened to these two with anything to do with Foreign aid or the Bali bombing. There's a reason we pump so much aid into Indo, Trade Agreements.

And ooh yay - they were rehabilitated.

Give me a freaking break - am pretty sure if I was locked away in a foreign prison I'd quickly become a model prisoner too.

Would almost guarantee that if they were arrested in Australia after the plane landed rather than before it took off they'd probably be out of jail by now and more likely than not menacing society again.

They executed two Indo's last night one for Rape/Murder one for Drug Trafficking so it's not correct to say they don't act on their own. Where do you think the drugs in Indo/Bali come from?

How many time have they appealed? That has contributed to the time it has taken.

I'm not defending the law or punishment in Indo all I'm saying is we as a country some how think we have a right to have influence in their affairs but we simply don't

Anybody remember the outcry when the Bali bombers where sentenced to death and executed?......no me neither.

I know that they executed two indo's last night, but I reckon they did that to reduce the retaliation.

I am pretty sure that if you were to walk the streets today and ask for drugs, you would not find any problems getting some in Bali.

Their appeals have delayed the inevitable, but the amount of time it takes to process anything in court is the same as it is in Europe in some countries.

I believe it may have something to do with corruption.........

nope, don't remember any outcry either about the bali bombers.

My point is that if they have been around for this long, they shouldn't have been executed.

Nothing can be done now and I hope the media coverage on this stops.

Had a gut full of it now.

This is the bit I'm struggling to understand. What do you suggest they do besides follow the legal process that exists in Bali. If we lined up all the drug dealers in Bali and shot them would it be a good thing or a bad thing or does it only matter because they convicted traffickers in this scenario where Australian?

If two Indon nationals was caught trafficking drugs into Australia and caught and extradited back to indo then executed would we car? I doubt there would be and #ourboys tweets or "brave and defiant to the end" headlines?

Anyway your last line pretty much sums it up for me as well.

So much for the two taboo subjects on car forums - Religion and Politics.

IMHO

It's their law so deal with it.

I am against the death penalty as I feel that it creates more victims of the original crime ie. family members/friends etc. and I do understand why so many people in the US of A protest against it but...............it IS the law of the land.

To quote Red from Shawshank Redemption:

Rehabilitation is a bullsh*t word ...

Just ask Barlow & Chambers

The fact is that 100s of people die in various ways in Australia every day that they had no choice in.

Those 2 guys had a choice!

No I don't agree with the death penalty, it's not a deterrent, but I respect other countries laws and sovereignty.

Plenty of other countries have the death penalty, are we going to pull diplomats from those countries as well?

Of course not!
