Oi lads I had a package delivered at me house on Wednesday @ 9:52am (which I was home for) and I never heard a van come or found said package out the front. All auspost keep saying is that its been delivered we will contact driver and let you know and they never call back.

Wat do, the items were expensive

If they were expensive it should have been a signature required package..

If it wasn't insured there is not much you can do except keep bothering australia post..

It's not the driver either.. It's on australia post as the driver is a representative of them.. So keep ringing.. From what I've seen with other people.. Squeaky gate gets the oil..

In 2009 the same thing happened, so no big deal, really...

But... my opinion is that that's bullsh*t, a Public Holiday day (meaning no work for the usual mon-fri people) should be a Public Holiday day EVERY year, not just some...

I think QLD does that also? Pretty sure we've gone back to the dark ages next year that if anzac day falls on a weekend then we don't get the monday off..

I think it's always been at the relevant minister's discretion for Anzac Day in Qld. Only Christmas, Boxing & New Years days have substitution written in law.

It's the one where I'm not phased. The whole point of it is to provide the opportunity to commemorate the diggers, if the day falls on a weekend then there's no need for a weekday off to do that is there?

There's also the fairly severe trading restrictions on Anzac Day so it's pretty unfair on businesses that they have restricted/no trade on Anzac Day itself as well as an additional day of paid leave/penalty rates.
