Nah - there's no way Nando's are that hot - I can pour a table spoon of that and just suck on it to enjoy the flavour.

Even the 10,000 El Yucateco Sauce is too hot for that.

I can't find anything that looks reasonable though - all the estimates I saw were along the lines of : 1 chilli is 5,000 scoville, so if there's 20 chilli's in every bottle then the sauce must be 100,000 :P

Got a Hab plant at home just starting to flower - will be interesting when it gives some fruit :)

Yeah, I don't agree with the estimates of Extra-Hot, but that's only an estimate.

I agree with the estimates of Extra-Extra Hot, though, it is SIGNIFICANTLY hotter than Extra-Hot, have plenty of first hand experience with this. A whole shot glass full of Extra-Hot isn't as hot as a teaspoon of the Extra-Extra Hot.

It wouldn't surprise me if there were 20 chili's worth of strength in an Extra-Hot bottle, to be honest. 5,000 is the standard measure for a normal jalapeno. Obviously this fluctuates a bit.

We have a small bottle of chilli sauce at home called "Scorpion Strike". Good fun when new people are over for dinner.

In a 'normal' situation, where and when would you use some of these incredibly hot sauces? I'm guessing ya wouldn't chuck some on the nicest bit o' steak that you've ever bought. ..... .or would you?

Trying them by themselves is not often a good idea as they often go for "outright heat" instead of "heat and flavour" (makes the experience not so pleasant)... so it's a good idea to add to mild soups or chilli con-carne (perfect for trying chilli's). On chicken does go pretty well also (Nando's style)

Wouldn't want to ruin an already awesome flavour with something that burns and makes the experience not worthwhile at all, just for the sake of trying an unknown flavour/heat.
