And it gets like 450km a tank around town and it's 70l aswell.

The manual usually is the one that struggles, for some reason the auto makes them get up and go a lot better. Is it the 2.5L 4cyl or the 3L V6 Diesel?Mates got a D22 with the 3L 4cyl Turbo Diesel manual, has reasonable power once the turbo kicks in and gets roughly 800km to a tank around town. Pretty good and reliable bus.

Fuel consumption difference between 100 on cruise (96 on GPS) and 110 on cruise (105 on GPS) was ridiculous.. She ran just under 10L/100km on the lower speed but once you were over the 100 k mark it just guzzled and went up to 13-14L/100km.. I like the turbo diesel D22 as they seem to be more off-road ready than the D40.. Definitely not a comfortable car to cruise around in though.. If you are doing a lot of highway work my order of preference for dual cab utes is: Amarok Hilux SR5 Ranger BT-50 Navara D40 D-Max D-22 Triton And yes all were within 12 months old and I would have done 2000-5000kms in each minimum.. Out of all those I've only really taken a D22 and a triton seriously off road. I'd be too worried about scratching a hilux or ranger or something.. And to everyone with kids considering these cars.. A lot of them need aftermarket child restraint brackets installed.. These cost about $250-$400 each and require mod plating the car to comply with current standards.. I only found this out because our work utes are private use also..
