TRENT!!!

Nothing drastic can happen until next year when the Senate changes take effect so the creep with the, as he puts it "alright daughters," will have to bide his time or do some backdoor deals with Labour.

Personally I think the heads of all the parties are jokers with their own agendas..

However I will do what I always do.. Vote for the bloke offering to spend the most $$$$ on infrastructure so I can keep getting paid for another 4 years..

Personally the only thing that does affect me is national debt.. Because when governments decide to do big cuts to get it back under control I can fast wind up in a dole queue.

Currently MR Rabbit is offering 700 million in my backyard to keep me in work and the state govy will pony up another 20% on top..

Guess who I'm voting..

My phones been freezing mid post so you never know if it goes through..

But yeah politicians are about as trustworthy as dynowog..

Personally boat people and all that hype don't bother me that much.. Unless something effects me directly it doesn't even come into consideration.

Paid parental leave? I could take it or leave it.. Extra money is good but with or without it I'll survive..

Best thing they could do is corporatise government that then makes them function as directors that must always have their shareholder's best interest at heart or ASIC will chuck the fckers in gaol. Imagine how functional things would be then.

There'd be no more bullsh*t, no baseless promises, no lining each other's nests, no jobs for mates, no expenditure without sound reasoning...fark what an awesome thing that'd be. :bliss:

At least the advertising blackout starts at midnight tonight so it'll be safe to login to facebook and turn the tv on again soon.

They have trialled privatisation of certain government departments before..

RoadTEK splitting from Main Roads was one.

RTA in NSW attempted full privatisation..

We actually thought Campbell Newman would send a few government departments fully private.. But that didn't happen.. I think he felt he sacked enough..

Sacked 14,000 staff and the government in QLD is still functioning as normal as it ever was..

He actually recently brought one back. Qld Rail was fully corporatised but labor spun off/sold off freight and drained that much dividend out of the remainder that it almost went belly-up.

QIC on the other hand (started predominantly for govt super) has gone gangbusters and is now one of the largest investment houses in the country. Makes an absolute killing for them/us too.

But I meant right at the top and not specific departments. No chance of it happening but no harm in dreaming!
