Could mean a split water gallery, head gasket etc. All of these causes mean that coolant will be chewed up at a noticeable rate.If it's not losing coolant, the PCV system may have failed and it's not venting any at all. Cheapest fix.If the car only does short commutes and has for a long time then yellow sludge could just be condensation.
