Total Tools is a franchise company. Costs about $1mil to get going, but I think the fees charged are quite low for a franchise company. Our stores have to comply to national catalogues, but they're free to run their own sales events as well, and outside of our best selling products, they're free to stock whatever they want. One of our store owners has 4 stores now, and plenty more are investing in a second and third store. We're looking into ways to bring the setup cost down. Franchises can be a good thing if you buy into the right one. If that's the path you're looking into, then make sure their ways suit you.
