Only if signed to say it's OK, if no sign then not permitted. Unless you're a taxi then you can pretty much do whatever the fck you want!

Can do u turns at lights in Victoria unless there's a sign saying you can't.

U-Turns at traffic signals require a sign to say it's okay..

U-Turns at median breaks or un-signalised intersections are legal provided there isn't a sign telling you it isn't okay..

Yeah it's kinda messed up.. Should just be one or the other in QLD in my books..

But I do have to admit that quite a few places are now sporting the sign U-TURN PERMITTED - CARS ONLY.. I have seen a dude in a semi try to swing round one of those in Rockhampton.. The newspaper said there was drugs involved..

All good. It was out of control about 1km from my place. They managed to control it as I was driving home.
