U-Turns at median breaks or un-signalised intersections are legal provided there isn't a sign telling you it isn't okay..Yeah it's kinda messed up.. Should just be one or the other in QLD in my books.. But I do have to admit that quite a few places are now sporting the sign U-TURN PERMITTED - CARS ONLY..
