Sunshine Coast is the same...they're just hubs for FIFO workers now.

Things in Brisbane are still fairly tight thanks to Newman sacking all those poor under achieving government workers. The number of resumes coming across my desk at the moment from people that worked in "shared services" with fckloads of letters after their name but no real actual hands-on experience with anything in the real world is quite unbelievable.

But thanks to commerce and mining things in Brisbane are still chugging along OK...just not as much cash being thrown around like the good old days.

Lol at the Shared Services comment Tab..

They used to handle payroll when I was in gumbyment.. Useless as tits on a bull.. If I did overtime one fortnight, it wouldn't show up for 6 to 8 pay cycles they were so far behind on form processing..

Not plaining on moving to Qld's most likely never will good for holidays and maybe the mining job FIFO etc etc.

Anyway on diffenrent news NO more Falcon and commo's by 2016. sales down what's the real reason behind this move by Ford and Holden.

Indeed they do. I think less Anna as she actually tried to start turning it around and was re-elected by surprise after doing a Bradbury, but yes it is a fckn disgrace that unfortunately not too many see in full.

It's really quite frightening...one example is a person who has completed a masters in statistics or some sh*t whilst their job for the last eight years was essentially data entry and reconciling credit cards. No doubt we've paid for that too.

I have little sympathy for them though. How deluded must these people be if they think that it's normal and will continue indefinitely. Morons.

Oh yeah and fckin shared services. Try explaining to the fckwits that because our block covers three street numbers then they are not entitled to invoice us three times for an unwanted fire alarm because it is actually a single building. Rarely do I lose my sh*t on the phone and start swearing at people but I have on quite a few occasions over this little dilemma  So I'm not at all surprised that they can't process payroll!

MS, did you arrive on Christmas Island the legal or illegal way?

umm, well I was paid to go.

but so are all the illegals. (well technically not paid to go, but they receive benefits once they land)

and I got a air conditioned room with a tv.

but so do all the illegals

nah im 100% aussie. born n bred here.

I love immigration, and the idea of being able to live in another country yada yada. but it should be all done through the right legal channels. not through shipping channels.

Morning all!!

There's a car on my way to work that's been parked on a nature strip, for sale, for a few months.

Anyway about a week ago I noticed that someone had stolen its wheels, and left it up on blocks.

Then two days ago, someone had pushed it off the blocks, so it's now sitting on rotors.

This morning I notice that the cops have come and defected it.

Pretty sure no one is going to drive it in the state it's in anyway lol.

Western suburbs.

And you wonder why we don't hold any meets that side of the city?

Nic, the car has been sitting there for months before this happened!

My day today is going so slow. Am having to load pricing into each of our stores datasets, and it takes half an hour per store.

Meanwhile it means I cant do anything else in the system. I'm running out of things to do while waiting.

Started this yesterday afternoon, have only gotten through 10 stores so far. 24 to go.
