So anyways.. I'm bored and can't sleep..

So I thought I'd share something from my recent road trip (because for once I travelled on roads where you see more then one other vehicle in an hour of driving)..

Unmarked cop cars.. Heaps of people have these theories on how to pick em.. Eg: antennas, steel rims, things on the dash..

I had to joy of encountering several on my recent journeys..

Number One : Mitsubishi outlander.. White.. Complete with OEM everything.. Red and blue lights were the only noticeable aftermarket part and that was only when they were on.

Number two: Honda accord.. Silver.. Even had the red and blue lights built into the headlights.. I was on foot when I saw this bugger so I wanted a closer look.. But the officer looked like he was having a sh*t night..

Number Three: Mitsubishi Evo.. Silver.. Looked like an Evo.. Except for the colourful lights..

Number Four: Toyota Landcruiser Ute.. Now this was the only one with a visible external UHF antenna.. But what cruiser ute isn't complete with one.. It was white.. With a canopy and bullbar.. And lights built into the back of the canopy near the rear opening window.. They looked like hinges FFS..

This to me seemed like a pretty random collection of cars. To me it says gone are the days of povo pack falcons and commodores on 15-16" steelies which yelled 'Ima cop!'..

Last probably 3-5 years I've seen some fairly interesting unmarked cop cars around, VE SS Ute, BF XR8 Ute both complete with BULLZEYE stickers and mud flaps. Seen a WRX and a Honda Integra..

None of these I would have been able to pick until it was too late if I was screwing around..

Really makes me wonder why people still choose to dick around so much in busy areas.. You never know who's driving the car next to you.

That's my random musing for the night..

Some others ive seen around...

BMW X5's, Territory turbo's, N/A FG XR6's, Nissan X Trail (why)...

They are all tested to make sure they are capable of ther intended purpose. You'd probably find the Accord is probably a detectives/fed agent car. No point chucking a cage car into traffic duties for example, where a VE SS ute or the Evo would be tasty.....

Morning Corzza!!

Yeah MS both the accord and outlander had plain clothes in them but obviously the cars they'd pulled up had done something wrong.. The SS Ute and EVo were unmarked HWP cars but had uniforms in them..

Seriously though? An Evo? Could you make a bigger 'like to see you try and run' statement..
