Dad didnt want us to live with him, so he agreed to pay a percentage of his wage to mum for us. However it wasnt enough to even cover half our living costs, and he refused to chip in any extra. He was also earning more than double what mum was earning. So while we were living in op shop clothes and eating rice and veges every night, he was buying his new wife designer clothes, and taking her out for dinner weekly.My mum may have gotten 50% of the house, and child support, but that doesnt mean she won.
