When you're not at fault, it's your responsibility to deal with the other person as there's no at-fault liability for the insurance company to worry about. I know some companies like NRMA are good though and will help you if you're not at fault and only have third party.There's no 'agreed value' with third party. Some companies will pay you an amount as a gesture of good will but they have no oligation generally. Third party is to protect you from liabilities (and fore and theft if you choose) but it doesn't compensate you for the accident, only prevents you being sued for damage you cause.
