Server had a Ram upgrade that went pear shaped and wouldnt reboot when trying to restart, the only option was to do a new instal on a new server with a back up of the site from the nightly 1am back up from Sunday night.

Made a bet using the 'sportsbet' app about a month ago,, anyways I had $190 in my account and it boxed a quaddy which made a bet of $240.. I couldnt cancel it so I was stuck with it and my accout said -$50.. Then the emails started coming from the site asking me to pay.. This is the last few

Why would my accidental $240 bet be accepted if my balance was only $90? Why should I have to pay for your f*ck up when I couldnt even cancel the bet?

I have reviewed the situation, and can confirm as follows;

1. a Credit application was made - and confirmed back to you on 21st July 2011 [copy e-mail below]   

2. only three Bets were made since - 2 on 9th June for AFL - and then a multi selection on 9th June for The Meadows Greyhounds

3. this 3rd wager was placed - when your Account balance of cash was $190 - and was able to be placed using $50 of the Credit facility.

All such wagers [internet and Mobile phone] require a dual action of 'Place bet' and then 'Confirm Bet' - to avoid any 'accidental wagers' and these cannot be then cancelled.

The arrears of $-50 is therefore a valid Account Balance, and not as you indicate in your e-mail.

My suggestion - as you have been a Customer for a long time - is to request you settle the arrears immediately and then Sportsbet will add 2 x $15 free Bets in to your account.

dont think you understand what im getting at.. As you can see im not a gambler so I dont regulary use this site.. I put $10 on a quinela at 'the medows' and I rushed as it was about to close.. As I confirmed it said my balance was -$50 when all (I thought) I put $10 on it.. I spoke to a friend that uses this regulary and he said I boxed it.. Unless it automatically boxes it then I never chose to box it.. I still think its crap to let a $240 bet go through without that amount of funds to place it.. How is that gambeling responsible?
