IT Tech Shy, but the boring kind.

About to do my E-Tax, but my log book was lost when my car was stolen. Anyone know if there's anything that can be done about that? Probably had about 7000kms in it racked up. If I claim, what happens if I were to claim it, be audited and not have the logbook (as little chance as it is but still a chance)

This is on the ATO site:

Was your car sold, disposed of, stolen or destroyed?

If you have been claiming deductions for your car and, during the income year, you sold or disposed of it, or it was stolen or destroyed, you may need to make a balancing adjustment. You do not need to make a balancing adjustment if you used only the 'cents per kilometre' or '12% of original value' method for calculating expenses for your car.

Not sure what it means but sounds like I should just wing it?
