Last year they were after DBA and programmers and this yeah it's looking good for Networking/Systems guys.I like to give the market a poke every year or so to see who bites, maybe go to a few interviews for sh*ts and gigs to see whether my career is heading in the right direction.Exactly, proves government jobs are good for young people (the Fed gives them a grant for every under 25 they employ which helps). I got my job straight out of high school, the March after I left. Just over $33K before tax plus annual leave loading and supperannuation on top. I've since had two increases on the financial year (that everyone in Government gets, usually aligned with inflation) and my boss will hopefully approve my second pay scale increase this month (your boss approves if they think you deserve a raise).
