160km's a day mate! it can be a hectic industry, one phone call while you are working on a job and it can cause you to f*ck the whole thing up! That's the one in breakwater yeah? its a trade yard isn't it? It can be a great job, but inevitably you will make mistakes, we are always under pressure to get stuff done in a hurry and there are always too many distractions, sometimes it gets to the stage where you cringe every time the phone rings, but overall I enjoy it.

That looks awesome fordfreak, very euro sports coupe, don't like the wing though

all stick. we did a random job with my old boss, just a cashie n it was prefab. farkin terrible mate. entrance hallway was about 6m then opened into the kitchen/living room. on that left corner as it went to living room the wall stuck in 150mm. slab was fine n all was right, but theyre just so unpredictable. stick frames for quality :)

although we are starting work with metricon soon *cringes* - dont have the best name for good frames from their usual chippies lol. and their doubles are prefab, singles are stick.

yeh atm im earning $600 p/wk and ill probably go to $25p/hr wen qualified. all different though as its an agreement between worker and boss. cant wait, then I get to order the ute :locomotive:

staying on wages mate ??

and yeh, prefab your constantly cutting walls down, adding studs or moving wall junctions lol

From where you have been working jd you must have been working on some pretty hectic houses! Stick framing always gives you the luxury to modify things as you go, I know if I was on the tools I would probably prefer to stick, but if you can get prefab right you can save a bit of time. I don't care either way, if the chippy wants to stick so be it, none of them want to pitch whole roofs though, so I will always have something to do!

fark lol that's a few km's. yeh breakwater, massive shed. yep that's it, mistakes are made but that happens. under pressure I bet, pumping out frames and trusses non stop. when at tradey we went thru a truss company down the rd - mb prefab. didnt look that big but still non stop. we found the double nail guns on the rail funny. piss easy job he had..one button both fire and move it along. no lifting the guns or anything haha.

very nice, smooth front end

yeah it can be piss easy in some spots in the shed, although they don't get paid too well for it. That spot in the frame jig with the two guns is important because it is that guy that pushes the guys on the finishing table who put the lintels in, stud ties on, bracing on, etc. if he is good he will have a heap lined up in front of them and keep the pressure on, if he isn't the guys on the finishing table sit down, tap their watches, and laugh at him!

yeh trainer the last 7 houses I built all stick built and pitched roof's, used prefab and trusses on two jobs in-between, when we put up a lot of 2 and 3 units, would of preferred to stick build, they were boxes, im use to building curved walls, rooms with no walls square to each other, ceilings with angles everywhere all architectural sh*t pretty good when finished but gets frustrating sometimes

yeh from wat I remember the next 2 guys were working pretty hard. always thought guys in prefab joints had it piss easy but not after being there..the laziest people were the office bitches haha

who do u mainly do your work for jd? whenever we get a house in torquay we drop a little..theyre either massive fk off houses or weird arse architectural things. framing is where the money is I must say.
